Trial extension of flag-selling hours launches
*
Social Welfare Department

The Social Welfare Department will extend the flag-selling hours of flag days this month for two hours to 2pm.

The trial measure aims to help organisers make better use of their flag days, the department said.

Flag-selling hours normally run from 8am to noon. On a trial basis, the flag-selling hours for flag days on every Saturday in April will be extended by two hours, running from 8am to 2pm.

The department will consult the Lotteries Fund Advisory Committee on the full implementation of this trial measure after evaluating its effectiveness.
