Chaoshan accident victims return to HK

Twenty members of a tour group returned to Hong Kong for medical treatment last night after they were involved in a traffic accident in Chaoshan yesterday.

 

They are 14 women and six men aged between 23 and 69.

 

After receiving a report of the accident, the Security Bureau liaised with the travel agency and mainland authorities concerned and provided assistance to the Hong Kong residents.

 

Arrangements were made for the injured to return to Hong Kong for treatment.

 

Of the five people who were sent to Tuen Mun Hospital, a 42-year-old woman was in a serious condition, two were stable and the remaining two were in a satisfactory condition.

 

Ten people were sent to North District Hospital. Two of them were in a stable condition while the other eight have been treated and discharged.

 

Five people were sent to the Prince of Wales Hospital. Two of them were in a stable condition and two have been treated and discharged. The remaining one was transferred to Queen Mary Hospital and was in a stable condition.
