Take a stroll around historic Gov't House
*
Government House

Living history: Government House has undergone many changes since its opening in 1855. It is now a declared monument and a venue for official functions.

*

Government House will open to the public on October 4 and 5 for the fifth time this year, allowing visitors to admire its historic architecture and vibrant gardens.

Paintings of Hong Kong's landscape by local artists will also be showcased. The Here & There Where We Live exhibition features paintings of Victoria Harbour from the Peak, Golden Bauhinia Square and the Legislative Council Building.

In addition, photos showing Government House's past and present, and the dignitaries it has received since the Handover, will also be on display.

Visitors can see the Drawing and Dining Rooms where the Government often holds important official functions, such as banquets in honour of visiting heads of state, and award presentation ceremonies.

Government House will be open from 10am to 5pm. All visitors are requested to enter by the east gate at Upper Albert Road and to leave by the main gate.
