The Government Publications Centre at G/F, Low Block, Queensway Government Offices, 66 Queensway, Hong Kong will cease over-the-counter sales from August 25.

After the closure, Government publications may be purchased through the following channels:

* the online Government Bookstore at http://bookstore.esdlife.com;

* by phone from the Publications Sales Section of the Information Services Department at 2537 1910;

* by fax at 2523 7195 or online after downloading the order form from the ISD website at http://isd.gov.hk ; and

* by e-mail at puborder@isd.gov.hk.

The online Government Bookstore, operated by ISD under the Electronic Service Delivery Scheme, is offering a 25% discount on selected publications until the end of January 2004.

The offer applies to some popular publications, including:

* the newly published Government Yearbook, Hong Kong 2002;

* the Emergency Care Handbook;

* the Hong Kong Property Review;

* the Road Users Code; and

* the Code of Practice for the Electricity (Wiring) Regulations.

Buyers may pay by credit card or debit card or use the payment-by-phone Service. Upon submission and confirmation of orders, publications will be delivered by mail.
