Tung Chee Hwa visits Prince of Wales Hospital

Staff tribute: Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa lauds hospital staff for their hard work and says all efforts will be made to curb the spread of respiratory infections.

*

The Government will pool its efforts to prevent the spread of respiratory infections, Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa says.

The Government is highly concerned with the recent outbreak in hospitals, he said, adding that the Secretary for Health, Welfare & Food has set up a steering group to coordinate preventive efforts.

Mr Tung visited Prince of Wales Hospital this afternoon and paid tribute to medical staff for their hard work and professionalism in handling the incident.
