Want to express your gratitude and support to our healthcare workers who have been fighting so hard against atypical pneumonia? Also want to show your care and compassion for patients struck down by the virus?
Two organisations have offered channels for the public to convey their encouraging messages to health workers and patients.
The University of Hong Kong's School of Professional & Continuing Education has launched the We Shall Overcome campaign and invited the public to send their warm-hearted messages to its website between April 14 and 27.
Messages will be compiled into a booklet and presented to healthcare workers and patients. Limited copies will be available for the public. Healthcare workers and patients can also visit a website to read the messages.
Meanwhile, the MTR Corporation is collecting encouraging messages to cheer up the community and rebuild public confidence.
People can pay their tributes in 30 words or less in English, or 20 words or less in Chinese.
The most meaningful messages will be displayed between April 15 and May 2 via the electronic inFo Panels in all MTR trains, at MTR platforms and on Hong Kong's biggest videowall outside Worldwide House in Central.
Messages should be sent to the MTR Corporation by email ( care@mtr.com.hk ), SMS (6293 9393) or fax (2993 7587).
The activity is part of the MTR's Inspiring Hong Kong with Confidence campaign.
