Five marriage registries to close on June 30
*
Immigration Department

The Immigration Department will close the Births & Marriage Mobile Registry on May 26 and five marriage registries on June 30 to make better use of resources.

The Registries are Eastern, East Kowloon, Fanling, Tsuen Wan and Yuen Long.

The move is part of the reorganisation of the Department's office network to achieve efficient use of resources. Eleven under-used immigration offices will close.

The Immigration office network will be operated on the basis of five regions: Hong Kong Island; Kowloon East; Kowloon West; New Territories East; and New Territories West.

Immigration, registration of persons, births, deaths and marriages will be provided in these regions.

Enquiries can be made on the Department's hotline, 2824 6111 or by email at enquiry@immd.gov.hk.
