Atypical pneumonia

HK & Guangdong strengthen ties in virus fight
*

Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa and Guangdong Governor Huang Huahua agreed that both sides should work closely to strengthen information exchange, experience sharing and co-operation in the prevention and treatment of atypical pneumonia.

 

They met in Shenzhen this afternoon to discuss ways to further improve the work and exchange views on combating the virus.

 

Also at the meeting were Secretary for Health, Welfare & Food, Dr Yeoh Eng-kiong, Director of the Chief Executive's Office Lam Woon-kwong and representatives from the Department of Health and the Hospital Authority.

 

Other mainland officials attending the meeting included Shenzhen Mayor Yu Youjun, Guangdong Deputy Governor Lei Yulan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Zhong Nanshan, and provincial and municipal officials.
