23 beaches rated good

*
Environmental Protection Department

The Environmental Protection Department has rated water quality at 23 beaches 'good', nine 'fair' and one 'poor' for this weekend.

Compared with last week, Castle Peak Beach improved from fair to good.

An oil spill has affected Hung Shing Yeh and Lo So Shing Beaches. Check for updates from the Leisure & Cultural Services Department before swimming at these locations.

Seven gazetted beaches - Anglers', Approach, Ting Kau, Casam, Gemini, Hoi Mei Wan and Lido Beach - are closed to swimmers year round because of poor water quality.
