Water grading

22 beaches rated good

Environmental Protection Department

The Environmental Protection Department has rated water quality of 22 beaches as good, 10 fair and 1 poor.

Compared to last week, Clear Water Bay First Beach and Second Beach, Ma Wan Tung Wan Beach and Trio Beach were upgraded from fair to good. Lower Cheung Sha Beach was downgraded from good to fair

Seven gazetted beaches - Anglers', Approach, Ting Kau, Casam, Gemini, Hoi Mei Wan and Lido Beach - are closed to swimmers year round because of poor water quality.

To see the latest beach water quality gradings, click here, or call the beach hotline, 2511 6666.
