Water quality 'good' at 23 beaches

*
Environmental Protection Department

Water quality at 23 beaches has been rated 'good' and 10 'fair' for this weekend.

Cafeteria New, Cafeteria Old and Middle Bay beaches have downgraded from good to fair while Shek O Beach has been upgraded from very poor to fair.

Seven beaches - Anglers', Approach, Ting Kau, Casam, Gemini, Hoi Mei Wan and Lido - are closed to swimmers year round because of poor water quality. People should not swim at these beaches.

Bathers should avoid swimming at beaches for up to three days after a storm or heavy rainfall. Click here for the latest gradings.
