Touch Hiking and Planting Day

Green team: Tree-planting activities will be held in country parks to enhance public awareness of tree preservation.

*

Tree-planting activities will be held in country parks on four consecutive Sundays from April 18 to enhance people's awareness of nature conservation and tree preservation.

Organised by the Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department and Friends of the Country Parks, the hiking and planting day will be held at Plover Cove Country Park on April 18, Lantau North Country Park on April 25, Shing Mun on May 2, and Tai Lam Country Park on May 9.

Participants should enroll at the on-site registration points. They should select an appropriate planting site taking into account their physical ability and hiking experience.

The department will provide participants with seedlings and planting tools on a first-come-first-served basis. All the seedlings were raised in the department's tree nursery at Tai Tong, Yuen Long.
