February saw 34 convictions by the Environmental Protection Department for anti-pollution legislation breaches.
Eleven were for noise, 10 for air pollution, seven for illicit waste disposal, five for water pollution and one for dumping at sea.
One company was fined $50,000 - February's heaviest fine - for using powered mechanical equipment not in accordance with the conditions of a construction noise permit.
Another company was fined $50,000 for dumping dredged sediment in contravention of its permit.
