Wetland Park invites expressions of interest
*
Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department

The Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department invites qualified groups to express their interest in the management and operation of Hong Kong Wetland Park. Parties with relevant experience and expertise are welcome to submit their responses to the AFCD by noon on April 15.

Hong Kong Wetland Park aims to create a visitor attraction of international status, catering for local residents, mainland and overseas tourists and those with a special interest in wildlife and ecology.

The park is expected to attract about 540,000 visitors each year.

The Wetland Park, to be built in two phases, is a millennium project designated by the Hong Kong Government.

Phase one opened in 2000. Construction of phase two is expected to be completed in late 2005.

The AFCD will organise a briefing session for interested parties at the Wetland Park on March 16.

Those who want to join the briefing session should complete and send in a return slip by March 15.

The return slip, the expression-of-interest documents and related information can be downloaded from the website.

The documents can also be collected from the AFCD on the fifth floor of the Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices at 303 Cheung Sha Wan Road in Kowloon.

For further enquiries, please fax AFCD Senior Wetland Park Officer Edmond Lam on 2314 2802.
