The Commerce, Industry & Technology Bureau is glad the organiser of Cannes Market 2003 has not imposed any special requirement on Hong Kong exhibitors in view of the SARS outbreak.
Nine Hong Kong exhibitors are participating in the French event, and the Trade Development Council has set up a pavilion for Hong Kong exhibitors to showcase their products and promote our film industry.
The bureau hopes Hong Kong film makers and distributors, through this important platform for business transactions and networking, will be able to maximise their exposure in the global film market and tap business opportunities.
The trade fair, which runs from May 14 to 24, is one of the world's most important trade events for the film industry.
Now in Its 44th year, the Cannes Market attracted 7,117 participants from around the world last year.
