HK Examinations & Assessment Authority

The Hong Kong Examinations & Assessment Authority has posted results of the Language Proficiency Assessment for Teachers 2008, with passing rates for English-language papers ranging from 41.5% to 94.6% and Putonghua papers, 45.7% to 74.3%.

This year 1,964 candidates sat for the English-Language papers and 2,513 for the Putonghua papers.

Results notices are expected to reach candidates tomorrow. Those who do not receive the results by Wednesday should call 3628 8860. Applications for rechecking results will be accepted from May 28 to June 4. Candidates will be informed individually of their appeals results by June 26.

The assessment reports, which provide the chief examiners' observations on candidates' performance, including their strengths and areas for improvement, will be released in late June.
