Secretary for Education Michael Suen will attend the fourth Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation's Education Ministerial Meeting in Peru on June 11 and 12.
He will share with member economies Hong Kong's initiatives in four areas - mathematics and science, career and technical education, learning each other's languages, and information and communication technologies and systemic reform.
During his stay in Lima, Mr Suen will meet Vice-Minister of Education Zhang Xinsheng. He will also explore collaboration and share views on developments in Hong Kong's education system in meetings with Brunei's Minister of Education Pehin Dato Abdul Rahman Talb, and Singapore's Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Education, Lui Tuck Yew.
Mr Suen will also stop in Toronto on June 9 to hold a breakfast seminar with local academics, and business and community leaders. He will also deliver a speech and meet the local media.
