Education council poll set for April 22
*

Voting for teacher-nominated categories in the eighth Council on Professional Conduct in Education election will be held at schools on April 22, the Education Bureau says.

All serving registered teachers, permitted teachers and government school teachers are eligible to vote. The voting is conducted on a one-teacher-one-vote basis.

Secondary school voters may vote for a maximum of three candidates from aided schools, while primary school voters may vote for a maximum of five candidates.

Kindergarten voters may vote for a maximum of two candidates and special school voters may vote for a maximum of two candidates in their own category.

Teachers attending full-day courses run by the Hong Kong Institute of Education should vote at the polling station on the Tai Po Campus.

The bureau has received a total of 33 nominations, comprising 17 teacher-nominated seats and 16 organisation-nominated seats.
