The Labour Department's two youth employment resource centres have opened to offer tailor-made employment support services to young people aged 15 to 29.
Speaking at the launch of the Youth Employment Start - or Y.E.S. V centres today, Secretary for Labour & Welfare Matthew Cheung said the setting up of the new employment platform underlines the Government's determination to promote the employment of young people.
He called on employers, private enterprises and social services' partners to help nurture young people to pave their way for success.
The centres provide career assessment, career guidance, value-added training and self-employment support.
The target users are current and past trainees of the Youth Pre-employment Training Programme and Youth Work Experience & Training Scheme, school leavers, job seekers, young people seeking alternative employment and self-employed young people.
Located at Langham Place in Mong Kok and Metroplaza Tower II in Kwai Fong, the two centres open from Mondays to Saturdays, from 10am to 7pm. For enquiries call 3585 8000 or click here.
