American Surgical Association lauds Arthur Li
*

Secretary for Education & Manpower Professor Arthur Li has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship from the American Surgical Association.

It is the highest recognition that the association can bestow upon a surgical colleague from a foreign country. So far only 61 surgeons throughout the world have received this honour.

The presentation ceremony took place on April 26 at the association's annual meeting in Colorado Springs in the US.

Professor Li said he is very pleased to have received the honour which also recognises Hong Kong's surgical sector.

The association regarded Professor Li as one of the most distinguished surgeons in the world. It also highlighted his robust bibliography in liver and gastrointestinal surgery, showing his influence in surgery, surgical training and research.
