Tung Chung job fair offers 700 vacancies

Labour Department

The Labour Department will stage a job fair at Fu Tung Shopping Centre in Tung Chung on January 10, providing more than 700 vacancies.

 

About 90% of the vacancies offered are full-time jobs, with a monthly salary ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. Most of these vacancies require Form 5 educational level or below. Seventy per cent of the vacancies come from Tung Chung and the airport.

 

Fifteen companies, mainly from airport-related industries as well as the catering and retail sectors, will set up counters. They will provide about  500 vacancies for on-the-spot recruitment.

 

The vacancies cover positions such as shop manager, fast-food shop manager, customer service officer, stock-keeper, shop assistant, service assistant and aircraft cabin cleaner.

 

Special panels will also be mounted to display more than 200 vacancies solicited from other companies. The department will conduct on-the-spot job-seeking registration as well.

 

The job fair will be held from 11am to 6pm on fthe irst floor, Fu Tung Shopping Centre, Fu Tung Estate, Tung Chung. Admission is free.
