The Labour Department will hold a free job fair at Kingswood Ginza, Tin Shui Wai, from 11am to 6pm on October 20, providing 757 vacancies for job-seekers.

Nine recruiters come from catering, retail, property management and security industries. The 579 vacancies offered are for managers, shop supervisors, customer service officers, waiters, kitchen workers, security guards, warehouse keepers and cashiers.

About 90% of the vacancies are full-time jobs, with monthly salaries ranging from $5,000 to $9,000. Most require Form 5 education or below while more than 60% are open to those without experience.

Job-seekers can submit applications on the spot and may be selected for on-site interviews.

The Yuen Long Merchants Association and the Yuen Long Branch of the Hong Kong New Territories Commercial & Industrial General Association will jointly set up a booth at the venue. More than 70 local vacancies, including salespeople, beauticians and cleaning workers will be offered.

Displays will be erected advertising more than 100 vacancies from other companies. The department will conduct on-the-spot job-seeking registration.
