Primary 1 applications open

*

Parents wishing to enrol their children in Government or aided primary schools next year under the Primary 1 Admission System can obtain application forms from September 1 to 29. The Education & Manpower Bureau said the application is open to children born on or before December 31, 2001.

Application forms, explanatory notes and information leaflets can be obtained from kindergartens and childcare centres. Only one application should be submitted for each child, and completed forms should be submitted, with all supporting documents, to a Government or aided primary school of the parent's choice for a discretionary place, by September 29.

For parents opting to apply for central allocation under the system, they can return completed forms from September 25 to January 19, to the School Places Allocation Section, 2/F Lui Kee Education Services Centre, 269 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai. For enquiries, click here or call 2891 0088.
