2,808 S6 places available for application

There are 2,808 Secondary Six places in public-sector schools available for Secondary Five graduates to apply in stage IV of the S6 admission procedure tomorrow.

 

On the first two days of the admission procedure, 22,629 students obtained S6 places.

 

Students who satisfy the minimum A-level entry requirements can apply to other schools in stage IV, to be held from 9am to 4.30pm tomorrow.

 

Meanwhile, the Joint Admission Centre for schools in the Islands district will operate in stage IV. The centre is situated at PLK Mrs Ma Kam Ming-Cheung Fook Sien College, Fu Tung Estate, Tung Chung, Lantau Island.

 

Evening secondary courses

From the 2005-06 to 2007-08 school years, the Education & Manpower Bureau has arranged an approved course operator to run evening senior secondary courses on designated Government school premises.

 

Students meeting relevant requirements will be eligible for a reimbursement of 30% or 100% of the course fee where applicable. For details, call the College of Technology on 2192 8118.

 

To help students join Project Yi Jin, the Federation for Continuing Education in Tertiary Institutions will hold an xxhibition and joint registration at the International Trade & Exhibition Centre in Kowloon Bay on August 12 and 13.
