Nominations open for disabled worker awards
*
Labour Department

The Labour Department is inviting nominations for the Outstanding Disabled Employees Awards 2006. Nominations close August 31.

Results will be announced in November and all winners and their nominees will be invited to a presentation ceremony.

The awards recognise outstanding work by disabled employees. The selection criteria also includes the nominees' extra effort in overcoming their disabilities, devotion to work and special contributions to the public.

They also enhance public understanding of the working abilities of the disabled, enhancing their chances of finding jobs.

People with visual or hearing impairments, physical or mental handicaps, chronic illness, or those who have recovered from mental illness, can be nominated for the awards.

Click here to download the nomination forms or call 2852 4803 for more information.
