Employment agency licences revoked
*
Labour Department

The Labour Department has revoked the licences of Wing Shun Employment Agency and Chin King Employment Service Centre, bringing the number of licences revoked this year to four.

Wing Shun was convicted for overcharging a job-seeker when he operated another employment agency, which had been closed at the time of conviction. Because the licensee was convicted of an offence under the Employment Ordinance Part XII, the Commissioner for Labour revoked his licence to operate Wing Shun. The licensee appealed to the Administrative Appeals Board but the appeal was dismissed.

The department revoked Chin King's license after it was convicted for aiding, abetting, counselling or procuring the breach of condition of stay.

For enquiries or complaints against employment agencies call 2852 3535.
