5,200 S6 places still available for application
*

A total of 19,924 Secondary Five leavers obtained Secondary Six places on the first day of the Secondary Six Admission Procedure. Of them, 15,600 were offered school places in Stage I and the rest in Session 1 of Stage II.

About 5,200 S6 places in public sector schools are still available for application in Session 2 of Stage II and Stage III tomorrow.

In Session 2 of Stage II which will take place between 9am and 1pm, students with 14 points or more (best six subjects in one sitting) in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination can apply to other schools.

All Joint Admission Centres, except the one in Tuen Mun, will continue to operate in this session. Click here for addresses of the seven centres.

The application process in Stage III will be held between 2pm and 4.30pm. Current year HKCEE participants who satisfy the minimum A-Level entry requirements can apply to their own or linked schools.

To help students apply to other schools, the Education & Manpower Bureau has been releasing S6 vacancy information on the Internet and through the Interactive Voice Response telephone hotline, 3560 6888.

Students may also make use of the computers for public use at public libraries, District Offices, community centres and community halls, and ESD kiosks to access vacancy information online.
