Three primary schools planned for Yuen Long
*

The Government plans to build three primary schools in Yuen Long that will provide a total of 90 classrooms. The move aims to relieve a shortfall forecast for the 2007-08 school year of 309 classrooms.

More schools will be built to provide the rest of the needed classrooms.

A total of 29 private agricultural lots in Yuen Long, with an area of about 19,780 square metres, are to be resumed to make way for the three new schools. Construction will start in July for completion in three years.

A resumption notice for the works was gazetted today.
