S6 Stage 5 admission procedure to start

On completion of the first four stages of the Secondary Six Admission Procedure today, there were 79 subvented S6 places in 10 schools still available for Central Allocation at Stage V by the Education & Manpower Bureau.

 

Amongst them, 17 were in the Arts stream, 17 in the Science stream, 31 in the Commerce stream and 14 in the Engineering stream.

 

Details of the school places have been released on the Internet.

 

Current year HKCEE candidates who have attained results satisfying the minimum A-Level entry requirements and have not yet secured an S6 place may bring along their Identity Card and HKCEE Results Notice to apply for Central Allocation at any of the following application centres between 9am and 3.30pm tomorrow:

* Hong Kong - Tang Shiu Kin Victoria Government Secondary School, 5 Oi Kwan Road, Wan Chai;

* Kowloon - Kowloon Technical School,

332-334 Cheung Sha Wan Road, Shamshuipo;

* New Territories - Sha Tin Government Secondary School, 11-17 Man Lai Road, Sha Tin, and Ha Kwai Chung Government Secondary School,

85 Hing Shing Road, Ha Kwai Chung, and NTHYK Yuen Long District Secondary School, 123 Kau Yuk Road, Yuen Long.

 

Applications are not processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Allocation will be carried out according to the HKCEE results of applicants and whether they meet the admission criteria laid down by the schools.

 

Results of Central Allocation will be announced on the EMB Homepage at 6pm on August 13.

 

They will also be posted at all Regional Education Offices from 9am the following day.
