Some 2,918 places in public-sector schools are still open for applications from S5 graduates in Stage IV of the Secondary Six Admission Procedure.

A total of 21,586 students acquired S6 places in the first three stages completed today. Stage IV of the procedure will be held from 9am to 4.30pm tomorrow.

As at 5pm today, the Education & Manpower Bureau's central hotlines 2116 0533, 2116 0534 and 2122 5830 and Regional Education Offices had handled 291 enquiries over admission procedures.

In addition, the three advisory centres jointly operated by the bureau and the Labour Department have provided advice and counselling services on careers and further studies for 204 visitors.

The department's counselling hotline 2152 5055 and the online chatroom have also handled 318 enquiries.
