Appointments

David Lung to chair land advisory committee
*

Professor David Lung has been appointed Land & Building Advisory Committee Chairman for two years from April 1.

 

Nine new members have also been appointed - Raymond Chow, Reuben Chu, Dr Linda Fan, Bernard Hui, Dr Simon Kwan, Tong Chun-wan, Augustine Wong, Stephen Yip and Margaret Yuen.

 

Other members are: Professor Leslie Chen, Dr Rebecca Chiu, David Lee, Victor Li, Ma Ho-fai, Wong Lai-chun, Billy Won, Professor Anthony Yeh, Stanley Yip, the Secretary for Housing, Planning & Lands, Director of Buildings, Director of Lands, Director of Planning and the Government Economist.

 

The terms of reference of the committee are:

* to review the needs of the public and private sectors for land, and the planned provision, take up and utilisation of land;

* to consider the adequacy of land development programmes;

* to monitor and assess policies and procedures in relation to planning, land, and buildings matters; and,

* to advise the Government on any of the matters referred to the above issues.
