The Judiciary today announced the appointments of five Court of First Instance judges and a District Court judge.
Michael Anthony McMahon, Johnson Lam, Andrew Cheung, Aarif Tyebjee Barma and Anselmo Francisco Trinidad Reyes have been appointed to the Court of First Instance while Marlene Ng has been made a District Court judge.
All appointments will take effect from August 22, except those of Mr Barma and Mr Reyes which will be effective from September 15.
Chief Justice Andrew Li welcomed the appointments.
"I am confident the appointees will contribute to the Judiciary in its commitment to uphold the rule of law and to maintain and foster an independent judicial system," he said.
