Music Office to hold anniversary concerts

November 30, 2017

The Leisure & Cultural Services Department Music Office will hold three concerts in December to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

Music Office alumni and instructors, percussion trainees and the Kowloon Youth Symphonic Band will conduct and perform a concert on December 30 at 7.30pm in the Sha Tin Town Hall Auditorium.

The show will have the five natural elements - gold, wood, water, fire and earth - as its theme and feature the sounds of percussion instruments.

More than 800 Music Office trainees and alumni will form various wind ensembles and give an outdoor performance on December 31 from 1pm to 4pm in the Sha Tin Town Hall Plaza. Admission is free.

On the same day, the Youth Symphonic Band and its alumni will present an array of colourful band music in its annual concert.

Under the batons of guest conductors John Cheng, James Leung and Choy Kwok-tin, and Music Office instructors, the concert will be held at 7.30pm in the Sha Tin Town Hall Auditorium.

Tickets are available at URBTIX.
