Museum of Art on wheels again

October 20, 2017

The Museum of Art has launched the third phase of the Jockey Club "Museum of Art on Wheels" Outreach Learning Programme to enable the public to experience Hong Kong's art and hybrid culture.

With "Hong Kong Sign • Hong Kong Signature" as its theme, the programme features art workshops and an education art truck which will bring art to schools and the community.

To be held tomorrow at the Art Square at Salisbury Garden in Tsim Sha Tsui, the "When We Meet in 2017" workshop will be hosted by visual artist Tang Ying-chi. She will do outdoor sketching with participants whose works will be turned into stickers to remind them to show more concern for the people and happenings around them.

To be held on November 18 at T•PARK in Tuen Mun, "A Notebook of Our Community" workshop will be hosted by local art organisation KaCaMa Design Lab. It will make a community notebook from leaflets collected from different districts to encourage participates to care more about their own districts.

The two workshops are now open for registration.

For the education art truck, it will continue its school and community visits for the public to explore works by noted calligraphers and other artworks through its fun and interactive computer games.
