The Pan Asia Symphony Orchestra will stage two concerts in May.
Led by music director Dr Yip Wai-hong and guest conductor Lio Kuok-man, the concerts will feature violinists Jang Yoo-jin and Andrew Ling.
The concerts will include Sarasate’s Navarra, Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto, Dvorak's Symphony No.8 and the world premiere of Yip Wai-hong's Splendour of the Desert.
Lio is the first Chinese to serve as the Philadelphia Orchestra's assistant conductor, while Ling, a Hong Kong native, has won acclaim for his orchestral playing and solo recitals in Hong Kong, North America and Europe.
Presented by the Leisure & Cultural Services Department, the concerts will be staged at 8pm on May 12 at Sha Tin Town Hall, and at 8pm on May 13 at Yuen Long Theatre.
