Renowned cellist to perform

September 30, 2016

World-class cellist Mischa Maisky will hold a recital with his pianist daughter Lily Maisky in Hong Kong in November.

The duo will perform Fauré’s Elégie, Op. 24, Franck’s Sonata in A, Saint-Saëns’ Mon coeur s’ouvre à ta voix (from Samson et Dalila), and other classic French cello music.

Mischa Maisky has long enjoyed global recognition for his passionate and sensual performances. The Latvia-born itinerant frequently collaborates with acclaimed musicians, and has released award-winning recordings.

Lily Maisky began playing the piano at the age of four, and has taken master classes and received musical advice from renowned artists. Concert appearances have taken her throughout Europe as well as to the Far East.

The concert will be staged at 8pm on November 22 at the Cultural Centre. A pre-performance talk will take place at 6.45pm on the same day at the Cultural Centre.

Tickets are available at URBTIX.
