Fun day to be held

The Intangible Cultural Heritage Office will hold another fun day on August 20 to showcase Hong Kong's rich Intangible Cultural Heritage items.

 

The office announced today, the fun day will be held from 2.30pm to 5.30pm at the Hong Kong ICH Centre, which is located at the Sam Tung Uk Museum in Tsuen Wan.

 

A wide range of activities will be offered, including demonstrations of Cantonese opera make-up and costumes, the making of cha kwo, steamed sticky rice dumplings, and game booths featuring the Chiu Chow dialect and Yu Lan altar food stacking. 

 

Visitors also have chances to taste Hong Kong-style milk tea and aeroplane olives, a nostalgic Hong Kong street snack.

 

Traditional Hakka unicorn dance and rod puppet Cantonese opera will also be performed.

 

Admission is free.
