The Leisure & Cultural Services Department Music Office is recruiting Elementary Year-one trainees for its 2016-17 series instrumental music training.
Candidates aged six to 14 with no instrumental experience are welcome. The application deadline is August 8.
The scheme provides training on almost 30 Chinese and Western musical instruments, including the violin, viola, cello, harp, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, French horn, trombone, suona, sheng, dizi, erhu, pipa, zhongruan and others.
The weekly one-hour group lessons will be conducted in Cantonese. Annual tuition fees of $1,530 for the first year and $1,870 for the second year are to be paid in four instalments.
