Young Hong Kong choreographer Hugo Cho will stage his latest work, Made in Hong Kong, in May and June.
The performance stems from questions asked by men born in the 1980s: How hard do they need to work to achieve independence when they reach 30? And is society moving too fast or are they moving too slowly? Perhaps they need to look at things from another angle so that they can feel they are living, not merely surviving.
Cho choreographed the production, and will also perform with other dancers including Henry Shum, Lee Long-hin, Dolly Lam and Marco Ng.
Hugo Cho graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in 2009. He applies skills in hip-hop and modern dance to explore the fusion of different styles and the quality of dance.
The shows will be staged at 8pm on May 30 and 31, and 3pm on May 31 and June 1 at Kwai Tsing Theatre.
