P1 applications to open

September 01, 2017

Primary 1 admission system application forms will be available from September 4 to 29, the Education Bureau announced today.

Children born on or before December 31, 2012, can apply, except those who have attended primary schools or those who have been allocated a Primary One place.

The forms, explanatory notes and information leaflets are available from kindergartens, childcare centres, district offices, and the Education Bureau's regional education offices and School Places Allocation Section.

The completed application form together with all supporting documents should be submitted directly to a government or an aided primary school of the parents' choice between September 25 and 29.

Only one application should be submitted for each child. If parents are found to have applied to more than one government or aided primary school, their application will be rendered void.

If parents apply only for the Primary 1 admission central allocation, they can return the completed application forms with supporting documents from September 25 to February 2 to the bureau's School Places Allocation Section at Office 2, 2/F Manulife Financial Centre, 223 Wai Yip Street, Kwun Tong.

From September 4, people can call 2891 0088 or click here for more information.

Meanwhile, the Committee on Home-School Co-operation will upload the Primary School Profiles 2017 e-version in Chinese and English to its website on September 4 to help parents choose schools for their children.

The e-version will be available here and a mobile version will be available here.
