A wider spectrum of political dimensions is an asset for the Government that helps with the implementation of policies.
Secretary for Labour & Welfare Dr Law Chi-kwong made the statement while meeting the media today with his Under Secretary Caspar Tsui.
Dr Law said he and Mr Tsui have different political backgrounds and this difference will help them formulate policies and negotiate with different parties.
Mr Tsui said he will engage the community to help the Labour & Welfare Bureau promote policies and help stakeholders come to a consensus.
"I think my previous experience in the past two terms in the administration will no doubt help me in my new position, especially my experience in dealing with Legislative Council members and also the 18 districts," Mr Tsui added.
