Secretary for Education Eddie Ng departed for Beijing today for education exchanges.
Mr Ng will visit the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and discuss professional development of school principals and teachers, the Sister School Scheme, and student exchanges.
He will then meet Hong Kong university students there to learn about their studies and daily life.
Mr Ng will attend a regular working meeting tomorrow with Ministry of Education officials and introduce Hong Kong’s progress on education and youth development.
He will later visit Tsinghua University and tour its i.Center, which is an incubator to support and help students with their entrepreneurship and innovation development.
Under Secretary for Education Kevin Yeung will be Acting Secretary during Mr Ng’s absence.
