Police recruitment day held

In force:  Winter Recruitment Day is held at Police Headquarters.

Police Recruitment Day (Winter) was held at Police Headquarters today to enlist Probationary Inspectors, Recruit Police Constables and Police Constables (Auxiliary).

 

More than 2,300 applications were received.

 

Winter Recruitment Day provides a one-stop service to applicants, including initial screenings and written examination scheduling for Probationary Inspector candidates, initial screenings and group interviews for Recruit Police Constable candidates, and initial screenings and seminars for Police Constable (Auxiliary) candidates.

 

Upon completion of the selection process, successful Probationary Inspector and Recruit Police Constable applicants will undergo foundation training for 36 and 27 weeks respectively at the Police College, and successful Police Constable (Auxiliary) applicants will undergo 320 hours of training at the Auxiliary Police Headquarters.

 

For the 2015-16 financial year, the force wants to recruit 190 Probationary Inspectors and 1,320 Recruit Police Constables, while the Auxiliary Police Force wants 320 Police Constables (Auxiliary).

 

As at January 30, about 80% of the recruitment target had been achieved.
