Kindergarten profiles now online

September 29, 2015

Parents can now access kindergarten and childcare centre profiles online, while mobile applications are also available this year for the first time.

The profiles the Education Bureau released today provide information about 990 kindergartens and childcare centres, including whether they have joined the Pre-primary Education Voucher Scheme and details of their approved school fees for the current academic year.

For kindergartens joining the voucher scheme, their approved school fees after the voucher redemption are also shown. Kindergartens joining the scheme must undergo a quality review and disclose information on how they use the funds.

Other information in the profiles includes the number of teaching staff and their qualifications, the teacher-to-pupil ratio, the curriculum, and the cost of admission and other fees.

Parents can pick up printed copies of the profiles at regional education offices, public enquiry service centres, maternal and child health centres, integrated family service centres, and public libraries from October 31.
