The Government today announced Prof Kenneth Young's re-appointment as chairperson of the Curriculum Development Council for a term of two years from September 1.
Twelve new members and nine serving members were also appointed.
Secretary for Education Eddie Ng said under Prof Young's effective leadership and the active participation of members, the senior secondary curriculum under the New Academic Structure has been effectively implemented over the past few years.
Mr Ng also thanked the outgoing members for their sterling service and contribution to curriculum development in Hong Kong.
The council advises the Government on all matters relating to curriculum development of the local school system from pre-primary to senior secondary education.
