Maidhouse Employment Agency has been convicted and fined $1,500 at Tsuen Wan Magistracy for overcharging a job seeker.

The company, located in Tsuen Wan, was also ordered to refund excessive placement fees to the foreign domestic helper involved.

The Labour Department has cancelled the agency's licence.
