More than 1,500 applications were received during Police Recruitment Day today.
Upon completion of the selection process, successful Probationary Inspector and Recruit Police Constable applicants will undergo up to 36 weeks of foundation training, while successful Police Constable (Auxiliary) applicants will undergo 320 hours of foundation training.
The recruitment target for 2014-15 is 230 Probationary Inspectors and 1,100 Recruit Police Constables.
Eighty per cent of the target will be achieved by the end of this year. The remaining target will be achieved within this financial year.
Applications are accepted all year and can be submitted online or by mail.
