The Labour Department will hold a retail jobs fair at the Lai Kok Community Hall in Cheung Sha Wan on Thursday and Friday, offering about 2,100 vacancies.
The 40 retailers taking part in the fair will be looking for people to fill vacancies including store managers, beauty advisors, customer services associates, retail sales associates, sales assistants, cashiers, shop assistants, storekeepers and drivers.
About 70% of vacancies are full-time with salaries ranging from $8,000 to $15,000 per month.
Nearly all the positions require an education level of secondary six or below, while almost half of the vacancies are open to those without previous relevant experience.
The fair will be open from 11am to 5.30pm. Job seekers can submit on-the-spot applications and may be selected for on-site interviews. They can also register for employment services at the Labour Department's counter.
