The Social Welfare Department invites employers of the disabled to apply for a one-off subsidy of up to $20,000 per employee, in support of hiring people with disabilities.
Under the Support Programme for Employees with Disabilities, the funds can be used to modify workplaces to cater to employees' special needs, and for items such as computer accessories or adaptive equipment, optical magnifying devices, hearing and assistive devices, Braille products and handrails.
The department has commissioned the Po Leung Kuk as the administrator to manage and promote the programme.
The application period is December 16 to January 24.
