Four illegal workers were jailed for 15 months by Sha Tin Magistracy yesterday.
Immigration Department officers arrested four Indian men, aged 22 to 38, during an illegal-work raid in Tuen Mun.
They were helping to renovate a shop.
They are non-refoulement claimants holding immigration recognisance forms which prohibit them from working.
They were all charged with taking up employment while remaining in Hong Kong without the authority of the Director of Immigration after landing in Hong Kong unlawfully or being a person in respect of whom a removal order was in force.
